Glebe Centre for Learning

Glebe School has a very successful track record in providing CPD for schools and effective bespoke school to school support in the following areas:
- assessing English language learning needs and pupils’ progress in English,
- the induction of newly arrived pupils,
- developing programmes of support and resources to accelerate pupils’ acquisition of spoken English and reading and writing,
- promoting cross-cultural communication, language learning and community cohesion through the development of curriculum based projects and extended school provision which meet the needs of pupils, their families and the wider community,
- the training and deployment of support staff including Parent Ambassadors,
- working with schools to develop research projects,
- promoting approaches which challenge learners both intellectually and linguistically.
Early Career Teacher Programme
The Early Career Teacher Programme with UCL Institute of Education recognises the continuing development needs of teachers in their first, second or third year after induction. It augments evidence-informed practice and, for those who wish to follow that path, prepares them for leadership roles.
This programme is being supported by the Canons Park Teaching School Alliance and Harrow Teaching School Alliance.
