Instrumental TuitionAcross the school around 170 pupils are currently learning a musical instrument. Pupils are able to choose from keyboard, violin, guitar, flute, clarinet, recorder, tabla, harmonium, sitar and steel pans. |
Bb ProjectPupils in Year 5 have had the opportunity to learn the clarinet or trumpet via the Harrow Music Service Bb Project. We also run a follow up class for 30 pupils in Year 6 to continue to learn, and these pupils participate in the HMS Band Festival in November. |

Music ClubsWe run a School Band for selected pupils to improve their instrumental skills. These pupils perform at the end of the term and in the Spring Concert. |
Sing UpWe hold the Sing Up Platinum Award. Singing is a significant part of school life. Teachers are encouraged to sing with their classes during the week. Teachers use Sing Up to enhance their teaching activities and incorporate it into their planning. As part of the Sing Up initiative we have run a successful music project with Woodlands School. |

Concerts, Festivals and ProductionsThe special festivals of Diwali and Christmas are celebrated with productions by the Infants and Juniors. Every Spring term we have a Spring Concert which celebrates the musical skills and achievements of our pupils. Pupils learning instruments participate in Music Festivals throughout the year run by Harrow Music Service. In Year 6 pupils put on a production at the end of the Year to celebrate their time at Glebe. |
